The Canadian Open Government Data Portal data.gc.ca was launched in March 2011 but just recently the License for the Data in the portal has been updated.

The Open Data Pilot Project is Canadas national Data Catalogue. It seeks to improve the ability of the public to find, download and use Open Government Data. You are invited to search the catalogue, download datasets and explore the possibilities of Open Data.

The Portal was launched in March 2011 but just recently the Federal Government updated the License for the Data in the portal, see: Government of Canada Open Data Licence Agreement for Unrestricted Use of Canada's Data

Open Data Advocate David Eves writes in this blog post: "This is good news as some of the issues that were broken with the previous license have been fixed. But not all..."
