On 26 June, Madrid.

The Spanish Ministry for Industry, Energy and Tourism and the Ministry for Finance and Public Administration are organizing the Encuentro de Iniciativas Open Data en Espana, a meeting of open data initiatives in Spain. In 2009, 2010, and 2011 similar events took place.

The meeting will take place on 26 June in Madrid.

During the event the most recent developments in open data in Spain will be discussed and presented, and how a culture of PSI re-use is being established. With open dialogues and round table discussions as well as workshops, the event is aimed both at citizens, professionals and public sector representatives.

Topics that will be explored are amongst others:
The social and economical value of opening up data
Good practices and strategies for realizing open data ambitions
The new legal context for PSI re-use
