OPSI has published the minutes of the OPSI Licensing Forum held 5 February 2008

The UK Office of Public Sector Information (OPSI) has published the minutes of the OPSI Licensing forum that took place on the 5th February 2008. The meeting was held at the British Geological Survey (BGS) a public sector information holder. The meeting considered three main topics:
- An Introduction to Copyright: Legal Principles and Case Studies presented by Tim Padfield, Office of Public Sector Information.
- ‘Social Media’ and ‘Web 2.0’ In Government presented by Jeremy Gould, Ministry of Justice
- Information Licensing at British Geological Survey - impacts, benefits and vision presented by Richard Hughes, Director of Information & Knowledge Exchange, BGS
The topics covered within the meeting touch upon a number of relevant topics within the domain of PSI re-use.
The OPSI Licensing Forum has set a good example for others to emulate in that the stakeholder group - which is predominantly public sector; is not only open but as important the minutes of the meeting have been published and made public within 12 elapsed days of the meeting being held.
