Australian Government review of the national innovation system under way
Brisbane: 3 March 2008
The review of the Australian innovation system is well underway with the second week of Consultation meetings around Australia. Dr Terry Cutler presentation made at the Brisbane consultation meetings that took place on the 3 March 2008 in central Brisbane outline the consultation. Open Access to Public Sector Information is seen as a prime driver for innovation in the knowledge economy. An ePSIplus Thematic Network analyst attended the Government and Private Sector sessions of the Brisbane review meetings. The Private sector demonstrated a keen interest in the consultation and the need to stimulate innovation in Australia.
On Monday 25 February 2008 the Minister for Innovation, Industry, Science and Research, Senator the Hon Kim Carr, and the Chair of the Review Panel Dr Terry Cutler, met to discuss the Review of the National Innovation System.
