Vinderne af projektkonkurrencen ’Offentlige Data I Spil’ er fundet

The Danish Minister of Science Helge Sander announced the winners of the Danish Public Data in Play Competition to develop applications that re-used public sector information. The prize winners have been given financial support to now bring their winning ideas to reality.

“De tre vindere af Videnskabsministeriets projektkonkurrence ’Offentlige Data I Spil’ er netop kåret ved en konference om adgang til offentlige data. Vinderprojekternes fokus spænder vidt fra energioptimering af parcelhuse over politiske data, som kan understøtte demokrati og åbenhed, til lokalisering af offentlige toiletter. Vinderne får hver op til 100.000 kroner i støtte til at realisere deres projekter.

Projektkonkurrencen er et element i initiativet ’Offentlige Data I Spil’, som fokuserer på, hvordan offentlige datasæt kan gøres tilgængelige som råstof for innovation og udvikling af nyttige digitale tjenester. På konferencen offentliggjorde videnskabsminister Helge Sander vinderprojekterne, som er udvalgt af et eksternt dommerpanel af eksperter i web 2.0, innovation og forretningsudvikling.

Husets Web - energioptimering af parcelhuse
Den første vinder blev virksomheden Husets Web ApS, repræsenteret ved direktør Rudi Kragh, som havde indsendt en projektidé om energioptimering. Dommerpanelet fremhævede blandt andet, at der var tale om Grøn IT, og at projektidéen var baseret på en økonomisk analyse og gav forretningsmæssig mening.

Politisk Data API - adgang til data om politik
Den anden vinder var Michael Friis, som havde stillet med en idé til et system, som indsamler politiske data og hjælper andre med adgang til data. Dommerne lagde vægt på, at systemet kunne skabe mere transparens og tilgang til faktuelt materiale om det politiske arbejde og dermed ville kunne styrke demokratiet. Desuden bemærkede dommerne, at projektet måske også kunne tiltrække yngre mennesker, som ikke interesserer sig for den etablerede politiske debat, men som kan lokkes af muligheden for at kommentere via nettet.

Find nærmeste toilet - hvor er de offentlige toiletter?
Den sidste vinder var Tine Müller, som havde indsendt en idé om visning af alle offentlige toiletter på et søgbart kort. Dommerne fremhævede, at dette projekt udmærkede sig ved at have taget et tabubelagt område op, som ikke desto mindre er relevant for i princippet alle mennesker. Samtidig understregede de også, at der var tale om et ægte ildsjælsprojekt.

Både virksomheder og privatpersoner vil bygge tjenester med offentlige data
Bredden og kreativiteten i de indkomne projektforslag i konkurrencen viser, at offentlige data kan bruges til nyttige tjenester inden for et utal af genrer, og at det både er virksomheder og privatpersoner, som har de gode idéer.”
