PSI Alliance members elect the 2009 board at the 2009 Annual Conference
Brussels: 25 June 2009
The PSI Alliance 2009 Annual Conference and General Assembly took place on Thursday 25 June 2009 in Brussels. The PSI Alliance members re-elected Rolf Nordqvist as the PSI Alliance Chair for a further year at the PSI Alliance annual general meeting that preceded the annual conference.
The PSI Alliance members considered a range of topics amongst others during the annual conference that included:
- The Commission communication
- Commission initiated Infringement actions
- Commission survey on Member State exclusive arrangements
- The role of European Institutions that will respond to the Communication later in 2009
- Articles 81 and 82 of the EU Treaty
- Competition issues
- Real examples where the behaviour of a number European Union Member States Meteorological institutions were not complying with the PSI Directive – Poland was stated to be the worst case – a number of legal actions have been initiated.
- Enforcement of PSI Re-use complaints
