Results of the Potsdam PSI Awareness survey published

Potsdam & Dresden: 4 June 2008

A PSI Awareness Survey was undertaken at the 4th GIS-Ausbildungstagung (4th GIS Training) seminar for the education sector that was held in Potsdam on the 28th & 29th May 2008. The survey was undertaken by Dr. Frank Hoffman, IGN e.V., Dresden, Germany in conjunction with the ePSIplus Thematic Network. The results of the survey have been published.

The combined overall response rate to the PSI Awareness surveys in Dresden and Potsdam during May 2008 was 26%. The survey shows that the awareness of the PSI re-use Directive 2003/98/ECand the national transpositions and action plans is very low.

The topic of how to raise the awareness of the PSI Directive across Europe will be one of the topics considered at the ePSIplus Conference PSI Re-use, Who takes the action next? that will take place in Brussels on 13 June 2008.
