The Future of the Internet Economy – brochure published
Paris & Seoul: 8 May 2008
On the 17 & 18 June 2008 the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) Ministerial Meeting will take place in Seoul, Korea. The focus of the meeting will be - The Future of Internet Economy. The OECD Ministerial meeting will be the first to be held in Asia. The OECD last considered the Internet Economy in Ottawa, Canada back in 1998!
The programme on the 17th June 2008 contains Roundtable 3 titled Promoting Creativity and will includes three themes:
- Benefiting from the evolution of ICT-enabled research and innovation including their potential to address global challenges;
- Facilitating digital content development, access and use, including public sector information; and
- Enabling the growth of the participative web and its potential for economic and social development.
The second theme will include the PSI policy principles the draft of which have been the topic of a number of OECD and ePSIplus meetings over the past 18 months.
The OECD Ministerial Meeting organisers have published on the 8th May 2008 brochure number three that sets out the objectives of the meeting and includes the programme.
