European Commission Study on Re-use of Public Sector Information (PSI)

As part of the 2008 review of the PSI Directive, the European Commission has commissioned a study on the re-use of Public Sector Information (PSI). The aim of the study is to collect indicative information, i.e. facts and figures about the current state of PSI re-use and to understand the changes that have occurred since 2002.
In order to assess the impact upon PSI re-users of changes of data policy on the part of PSI holders, we are dependent on information from the re-users. Their contribution, indicating changes in procured data volume, income, and employment related to PSI re-use, is vital to understanding the nature and extent of these changes. We are aware that this kind of information is often difficult to obtain and may be classified for internal use only. However, without this kind of information, it will not be possible to give substance to positions and arguments related to market behaviour that have been raised recently by the community of re-users.
The study is an important opportunity for re-uses to have their voice heard. Hence, we would like to invite you to take part in the survey by completing an online questionnaire for your market sector and thereby help us acquire this essential, indicative information. Even if information that is being asked for is not available, please take advantage of the comment box below every question and give us your opinions, experience or impressions. As the study is now in its closing stage, please complete the questionnaire until the 6th June 2008.

Please also note that should the EURO not be your domestic currency, Micus will also send you the exchange rates for the years 2002 and 2007 (relevant in the questionnaire) in PDF format and would kindly ask you to use this information to calculate the relevant figures.
